Parts Department – Payment Terms and Conditions

Payment types accepted:
Cash – 0 fees (Only available in store)
Bank Transfer – 0 fees
Debit Card – 0 fees
Credit Card – 0 fees
Paypal – 3% charge on all transactions (excludes online or eBay purchases)
Cheque – 0 fees

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept AMEX (American Express) card payments, or cards without a registered UK postcode.

All goods ordered through Silverlake Automotive Recycling must be paid for up front before goods are removed, or shipped from the company stores

Payment by phone:
Silverlake’s policies for making payment for parts over the phone are:
* A maximum payment of £500.00 (inc vat) can be taken over the phone from any customer by any card type. A bank transfer is required to complete payment for orders or the difference over £500.00.
* When paying by card we can only take payment from the registered card holder
* All transactions for payments will be data matched and authorised by our merchant services provider, any transaction that do not data match may be declined.

Delivery of goods ordered over the phone:
To help in the prevention of fraud and to offer our customers a high level of security, goods ordered and paid for by phone can only be delivered to the registered payment card address or registered trade address.

Exceptions to the rule:
The Parts Manager has the right to overrule the company’s policy on payment terms and conditions for parts within exceptional circumstances, either to authorise or decline a payment, above or below the agreed limit.

Payment in person
Silverlake’s policies for taking payments in person at any of our stores are:
* All payments by debit or credit card are via chip and pin
* All payments by card must be processed with the registered card holder present
* A maximum payment of £5000.00 (inc vat) can be paid by cash at our stores, any difference over £5000.00 must be transferred in to the company’s bank account.
* All payments by cheque are limited to a maximum £500.00 (inc vat)
* Goods paid for via cheque must have a cheque guarantee card
* Goods paid for by cheque that exceed the value of the cheque guaranty card will not be released until a 10-day administration period has expired

Please Note: We do not currently offer payments by contactless cards
